I'm usually not one for floral items, but I like this look; despite the flowered print of the dress, it stays vaguely urban and edgy by the addition of black tights, booties, a cinched belt and studded clutch....

Houndstooth chic
Though not usually a huge fan of either Juicy Couture or houndstooth, I find the line's 'Malia' messenger bag (pictured above) absolutely adorable. With a bright red winter coat, a mini, tights and some schoolgirl-ish booties, it would make for the perfect, ladylike-yet-girlish outfit.

Crimson tide
I've always like the red-lips-uber pale skin look; there's something about it that screams film noir, glamorous 30's screen starlet. Despite the fact that my natural complexion is somewhere between pasty and chalk white, I've never tried for the look, preferring instead to slather myself in bronzer. A slew of pretty, pale-skin-red-lips looks hitting the runways and the press has made me re-think my tactics. Perhaps this fall will be the time I embrace my natural, pale self!

Gray has always been a staple of mind, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this season, gray is the new black. Whether you add a dash of the hue as a sweatshirt, tuck a bit of gray under a dress as tights, or shimmy into a slinky gray gown, it seems this fall, we're crazed for gray...
