Wish list for a sunnier climate

We'll need to take a trip to Mexico within the next couple of months to check out some potential wedding destinations in person before making a decision. While I'm feeling a little frantic with the prospect of planning a wedding and starting a new job within the next month looming large, as a travel addict, I'm always thrilled with the prospect of taking another trip.

Here's some of the summery frocks, swimwear and assorted other lovely items I'd love to bring on a trip to a warmer climate:

A breezy, sexy maxi dress to wear during day time jaunts around time and during dinner.

A sunny, glamorous yellow bikini to lounge around in on the beach.

Chic sandal with a modest heel to add a boost, but low enough to walk around in all day.

Embellished cover up sweater to throw on at the beach.

My go-to basic for every occasion and an absolute travel necessity: a comfy, deep-V neck tee to wear with everything, in every climate.

A pair of shorts that can be dressed down with flats for daytime sightseeing, and dressed up with heels or wedges for evenings out.

A lightweight bag that can be worn cross-body to keep hands free. I wore this Kooba bag while climbing around the dusty, amazing temple ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, which luckily enough had a strap long enough to wear cross body.

A sweater to throw on when evenings get chillier, or when faced with intense AC indoors.

Hot, and charitable to boot

Love this Red Carter bikini! Plus, for each piece of the suit sold (top & bottom sold separately), $8 of the proceeds are donated to Charity Water, an organization that helps build fresh water wells in Africa.

Just beachy

Beach time is almost here, and for those of us who are stuck in a bikini-rut, some more risqué options offered by Swimwear by Insight provide a much-needed jolt to beach wardrobes.

Feather Rainbow Bikini -- as is well known by anyone who reads this blog, I usually shy away from colors/patterns, but I really like the playful print on this suit.

The Aura Bikini -- so pretty! Looks more like lingerie than a two-piece.

Jellyfish Monokini -- great, unusual one-piece that toes the line between being outré and sexy.

Available at Karma Loop.

Summer stunner

I'm literally drooling over the gorgeousness of this Knot-Back Maillot by Cala Ossidiana Swimwear. The intricate, twisted back is elegant, architectural, and unbelievably sexy all at the same time. I might have to break my 'no spending' moratorium for this!

Herve Leger for Max Azria equals bliss

Discovered on blog Clothing Shoes Accessories: a recap of the swimwear collection from Herve Leger by Max Azria, which I'm simultaneously drooling-over-slash-terrified-by. The drooling comes from the gorgeous pieces.

The terror comes from the fact that I really, really need to get to a gym.
